THE FAMOUS BLOGGER SYNDROME: CHILL DRAMA QUEEN, CHILL

As much as I would have love to title this posts a yellow party, I think THE FAMOUS BLOGGER SYNDROME: CHILL DRAMA QUEEN, CHILL is just fine. I remember listening to preaching sometime ago which particularly interest me. The preaching talked about people who are scared of your positive energy will hate you for no reason and finds any excuse to dislike you.

Among, the prayer request, i wrote earlier this year is that God, please let anyone who does not agree with my God’s given energy to block itself out of my life for good. Real-life or social medial regardless.

Something happened last week, another black Nigerian blogger I was not even following blocked me on Instagram for whatever reasons that float her boat.
How did I know that they block me?

What i love about using hashtags is to discover other bloggers through hashtags, thousand/millions of people use the same hashtags. I remember leaving a positive comment on a particular post, and another blogger noticed that my comment was deleted and sent me a DM.

I repeat a positive comment. I have never left a nasty or a bad taste comment on anyone page. If I like a photo, i genuinely appreciate it, and i don’t expect anything in returns.

People i don’t even know and those who don’t follow me leave a comment on my page all the time and I never throw shades.

The good thing about Instagram is that other people notice small things like when they see your comments on someone’s page/post.

So, when I went back to the page to check to guess what I could not find the page, you know when someone blocks you on Instagram, you will no longer be able to see their post or find their page. At first, I was shocked but, then i started laughing, I used my other photography page to contact the blogger I was also, blocked too.

What did I do next? I fight fire for fire. I blocked this blogger on my facebook, twitter and other social media page and blocked her in return on Instagram. This particular person, we do not have the same style or have ever worn the same outfit we are two completely different individuals.

If you are wondering what I did for them to take such action, I wish I knew. God is so good because my prayer request worked. Anyone who does not agree with my God’s given energy to block itself out of my life for good. Real-life or social medial regardless.

Amen! Amen! Amen!

Here’s the thing, though: It is the first time I blocked someone on all social media page. Black women have a history of being awful to each other. Go figure.

In one of Tyra Banks interview on why Naomi Campbell hated her back in those days when she started modelling. Here is a link and this apology link

One of the problems with fashion blogging community is that once people think they are famous, they start condescending others who aren’t.

I stopped caring about what people think of me a long time ago.

Do you know why? Its is for the greater good. The drama queen days are over. I don’t need everyone to like me. PERIOD.

This is the reason i use my blog as a digital space for self-expression. See this post here.

Now you can vent your spleen!
