This post is long overdue, a big thank you to Vlisco team for sending me this beautiful prints. I have been a huge fan of Vlisco since i was a young child, my mum have various Vlisco veritable hollandais real wax print, Some of my mum collection are limited edition she bought 20 years ago, she still lock them up in her wardrobe for her special occasions. Something every African woman buys so much. This one is from their pret-a-creer pack of two various print, which was made into this style i wore here, top and skirt. Vlisco started operating since 1846 and still going strong focusing on bringing out more sophisticated prints patterns.Vlisco is an international brand based in Netherlands which is a major market leader in African prints. I am looking forward to restyle this again when the weather is more better.
According to wikipedia Vlisco ” Vlisco has developed a highly sophisticated production process, whereby the fabric goes through 27 treatments, both by machine and by hand, and takes two weeks to produce. This process is a closely guarded secret. Since 2006″
